Pharmaceuticals Industry Council
The Pharmaceuticals Industry Council is the peak body for Australia’s pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. It brings together the innovative, generic and biotechnology industries to represent a whole-of-sector approach to addressing opportunities and threats to investment in the sector.
Continuing Education Program for Medical Representatives
Medicines Australia’s CEP is designed to educate medical representatives to a recognised industry standard. The course is designed for flexibility and students can fast track through each of the programs to complete. CEP is primarily directed at medical representatives working within the prescription medicines industry, and recommended to those who may not be currently employed within the industry but would like to pursue a career as a medical representative. It is also available to personnel working for organisations interacting with the pharmaceutical industry.
Jimmy Little Foundation
The Jimmy Little Foundation was established to help improve kidney health in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across regional and remote Australia. Dr James Little AO is a legend of the Australian music scene and has been performing for over fifty years.
Shalom Gamarada
The Shalom Gamarada Scholarship was set up in 2005 to support the enrolment and retention of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander medical students studying at the University of New South Wales. It runs in partnership with UNSW’s Shalom College and the university’s Muru Marri Indigenous Health Unit.
