AusPharma08 – Medicines Australia Members Conference, Hotel Realm, Canberra 7 – 8 April 2008
AusPharma 08, the Conference for Medicines Australia Members, is an important opportunity for everyone in the innovative pharmaceutical industry to come together to consider challenges and opportunities facing the industry. Themed Charting the Future, this year’s event will reflect the dramatically changing environment in which we operate.
Medicines Australia assembled a highly impressive program of influential speakers to address our industry, with keynote addresses from Steve Arlington, Co-author of Pharma 2020: the vision, and Social Commentator, Hugh Mackay.
With a new government at the federal level, we welcomed Senator the Hon. Kim Carr, Minister for Innovation and Industry, to address our delegates. The Minister for Health and Ageing, the Hon. Nicola Roxon, MP, also addressed the delegates.
To close the day, Geraldine Doogue, Broadcaster and Journalist facilitated and interactive panel session, which gave delegated the opportunity to debate the key issues for our industry.
