Australia Day Honours for long-serving MA Board member

Former Medicines Australia Board member Graeme Blackman OAM has been recognised in the Australia Day Honours List.

Dr Blackman was appointed an Officer (AO) in the General Division of the Order of Australia for his services to the pharmaceutical industry, to scientific research and policy development, to theological education and to aged care.

Dr Blackman served on the Medicines Australia Board from 1995 – 2013 and was a recipient of the Pat Clear Award in 2005 for his role in steering the Pharmaceutical Industry Action Agenda since its conception in 2000.

Medicines Australia congratulates Dr Blackman on this outstanding achievement and his tireless advocacy of our industry.

Medicines Australia would also like to congratulate all of the other recipients of Australia Day Honours and we note with pleasure the number of recipients who are undertaking valuable research or who work within the medical and health science fields.
